Today I am going to talk about Steampunk. Recently my mom and I discovered this amazing world where, hypothetically, the Victorian/steam power age had the access to the technologies we have today. Much of it consists of clockwork, copper, and corsets (the 3 C's) but other than that it is free to the imagination of the Steampunker.

 Some people "mod" everyday item to appear as if they could belong in the Victorian era, like this guitar (WHICH I WANT)

Steampunk can also extend to music, like one of my favorite bands, Abney Park  (you should seriously check them out!)

Of course, wardrobe is a huge factor in creating a perfect Steampunk character, but the devices people make and stories behind them are what amazes me. For example, the picture above is explained as "Steampunk Ghostbusters"

And finally, many people (like me) create intricate designs in jewelry to express their Steampunk creative juices. The things I make, however, are not at all as amazing as this ring!

1. Make a stand on the road and sell lemonade!
2. Play a board game
3. Play "dress up"
4. Find a puddle in your neighborhood, and go swimming!

8. Make a fire in your backyard, but make sure you don't light up the neighborhood!
9. Read a book
10. Write poetry... it doesn't have to be good
11. Sort something, like color coding your pencil crayons!
12. Make a simple animation with a flip book
13. Learn to speak to animals
14. Have a heart to heart with an animal
15. Make a time capsule and bury it in your yard! (remember to call before you dig!)
16. Watch paint dry
17. Bake a cake
18. Bring a piece of cake to me
19. Start a dryer lint collection
20. Learn to play the triangle and then join a rock band!
